Name: Samson Dare
Obtaining BA, MA, and PhD degrees in English Language from the University of Ibadan, Samson Dare had an initial training in Mass Communication. This initial training has so deeply influenced his teaching and research that his teaching of the English structure is almost always guided and inspired by the need for effective communication. A public speaker and writer, Samson Dare is the writer of the popular column in the Nigerian Sunday Tribune, “Language and Style,” a column devoted to the teaching of English structures, idioms and prose. The column has appeared regularly for close to twenty-five years. With almost thirty years of university teaching, with many publications in national and international journals, with national and international exposure through conferences and workshops, the stylistician and stylist commands respect among teachers, scholars and journalists.
Samson Dare an associate professor and facilitator is the Lead resource person in the Pervium Language Proficiency School.
